Background and Rationale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Thailand has positioned itself as a regional leader on Business and Human Rights, becoming the first Asian country to adopt a National Action Plan (NAP) on BHR in 2019, with a second NAP (2023\u20132027) paving the way for laws and measures on Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD). The EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) accelerates alignment of market expectations. This study focuses on HRDD from the perspective of workers, ensuring that future Thai HRDD laws are worker-centered, effective in practice, and contribute to prevention, mitigation, and remedy across complex supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand risks, challenges, and lived experiences of workers regarding HRDD in supply chains.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compare findings with Thai HRDD draft frameworks and international standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop worker-friendly recommendations and tools for businesses and suppliers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Key Research Questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What risks and violations do workers face in supply chains, and how effective are prevention, mitigation, and remedy mechanisms?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the key barriers for enterprises\/suppliers (especially SMEs) in conducting HRDD?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do Thai HRDD frameworks ensure meaningful worker participation? How can they be improved?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What roles, indicators, and mechanisms should government, NHRC, business, and stakeholders play?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Scope of Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Desk Review: Review HRDD laws\/frameworks in Thailand and internationally, draft Thai HRDD documents, and business guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fieldwork: In-depth interviews (10\u201312 per site) in Samut Sakhon, Chiang Mai, and Mae Sot (Tak).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data Processing: Consent-based recording, transcription, and coding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analysis and Reporting: Validation meeting, final report, and worker-centered HRDD checklist\/tool.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Deliverables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 Comprehensive report.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Worker-centered HRDD checklist\/tool for businesses\/SMEs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Policy brief (summary of findings and recommendations).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Duration and Work Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>October 2025 to March 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proven expertise in human rights, labour rights, or migration research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with qualitative research (KIIs, FGDs, transcription).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of HRDD, BHR, UNGPs, and supply chains.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluency in Thai and English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical and report-writing skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8.
