\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 On 24 July 2013 in the pretrial hearing, the Central Labour Court heard from Kyoto Packaging Co., Ltd., the plaintiff and Social Security Office (SSO) and Mr. Tun Aye, defendants. The plaintiff asked the Court to revoke the decision made by the Workmen\u2019s Compensation Fund Committee which requires that he provide compensation for the amount of 274,560\u00a0baht to Mr. Tun Aye, the employee who has suffered\u00a0from occupational health as per the Workmen\u2019s Compensation Act. The employer found the order made by the SSO officers in Samut Sakhon and the decision made by the Workmen\u2019s Compensation Fund Committee unlawful. It was claimed in the plaint that \u201cAs for the harm suffered by Mr. Tun Aye, the employee, it had been intentionally inflicted by Mr. Tun Aye himself\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0During the hearing, the plaintiff\u2019s counsel informed the Court that mediation between the two parties has taken place as per the request by the two defendants. But owing to a disagreement of the plaintiff, a mutual solution could not be found. Meanwhile, the Court informed the two parties today that the persons proposed for witnesses in the case are not too many. In addition, both parties shall prepare a note of the testimonies of the witnesses and submit it to the Court beforehand. Thus, the Court proposed to reschedule the hearing dates earlier from 28-29\u00a0August 2013 to 24 July 2013 from 09.00 -16.00.<\/p>\n
