HRDF Joins UN RBHR 2024 to Promote Safe Working Environments for Migrant
On September 26, a representative from Human Rights and Development Foundation(HRDF) participated as a speaker in the session “A Safe and Healthy Working Environment: How to Get There?” co-organized by the ILO at the United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific in Bangkok.
HRDF presented an overview of workplace accidents, highlighting the challenges that migrant workers face in accessing the Workmen’s Compensation Fund. They also shared best practices and recommendations for improving safety and ensuring workers have better access to compensation mechanisms.

The session focused on promoting occupational safety and health (OSH), especially for vulnerable workers in high-risk sectors like migrant labor. We extend our thanks to the organizers for promoting the rights of migrant workers in Thailand.

26 ก.ย.2567 ตัวแทนจาก มูลนิธิเพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชนและการพัฒนา (HRDF) ได้เข้าร่วมเป็นวิทยากรในเวที “สภาพแวดล้อมการทำงานที่ปลอดภัยและดีต่อสุขภาพ: จะไปถึงจุดนั้นได้อย่างไร?” ซึ่งจัดโดย องค์การแรงงานระหว่างประเทศ (ILO) ภายในงาน United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific (UN RBHR 2024)ที่กรุงเทพฯ
HRDF นำเสนอภาพรวมของอุบัติเหตุในสถานที่ทำงาน โดยเน้นถึงความท้าทายที่แรงงานข้ามชาติประสบในการ เข้าถึงกองทุนเงินทดแทน นอกจากนี้ยังได้เสนอ แนวปฏิบัติที่ดีที่สุดและข้อเสนอแนะ เพื่อปรับปรุงความปลอดภัยและให้แรงงานเข้าถึงกลไกการชดเชยได้ดีขึ้น
HRDF ได้เน้นประเด็นสำคัญ ได้แก่:

เวทีนี้มุ่งเน้นการส่งเสริม ความปลอดภัยและสุขภาพในการทำงาน (OSH) โดยเฉพาะสำหรับแรงงานในภาคส่วนที่มีความเสี่ยงสูง เช่น แรงงานข้ามชาติ ขอขอบคุณผู้จัดงานที่ช่วยส่งเสริมสิทธิของแรงงานข้ามชาติในประเทศไทย
